The Arts

The goal of The Arts facet is to increase and expand art activity throughout black communities. The Links, Incorporated creates and supports art-related educational opportunities for minority youth as well as presents and supports performances by youth and accomplished professional artists in an array of disciplines. Rancocas Valley participation includes:

  1. Classics Through the Ages - Financial support for music lessons

  2. Annual “Afternoon of Music” for Senior Citizens (in partnership with the Center for Aging) in Willingboro

  3. Poster Art Contest

Health & Human Services

The Links, Incorporated established the Health and Human Services facet in response to the chronic health disparities that persist in black communities and result in the decreased life expectancy of African Americans and other people of African ancestry. The goal of this facet is to promote and facilitate programs that support the maintenance of good health. Rancocas Valley activities include:

  1. Sister Will You Help Me Cancer Support

  2. Gift of Life - Donor Sabbath

  3. Fighting Obesity Program

  4. Colgate Bright Smiles Program

International Trends & Services

The ITS facet provides services and delivers transformational programs to people of African ancestry globally so that they may have a better quality of life. Programs are designed and developed to service the educational, health, and cultural needs of our global community. Rancocas Valley activities include:

  1. Fresh Start program at Wilbur Watts School

  2. African Heritage Film Festival

  3. International Day of Women

  4. Haiti Mama/Baby Kits

  5. Education Across the Miles - Jamaica

  6. Model UN

National Trends & Services

The National Trends and Services facet addresses the social inequities that persist in black communities throughout the United States. The Links, Incorporated is committed to raising awareness on economic, health, social justice, and other barriers that affect our quality of life. Our goal is to eliminate disparities in these areas for the betterment of our communities. The Rancocas Valley Chapter often collaborates with other organizations on the following”

  1. Running and Winning (Program to encourage women in Politics)

  2. Voter Registration Drives

  3. Mother’s Day Awards Breakfast

Services to Youth

The Links, Incorporated created its first program facet, Services to Youth, to empower black youth to use their intellect and spirit of achievement to become successful and productive citizens. Through this facet, we implement transformational programs that are responsive to the academic, cultural, career development, and mentoring needs of youth. Rancocas Valley has a continuing presence in this area through the following programs and events:

  1. HBCU College Fairs and Tours

  2. Fresh Start Program at Wilbur Watts School

  3. STEM Activities

  4. Project Lead
